Meadow webworm is one of the important pests on crops and grasslands in north China, which outbreaks intermittently. Since the founding of new China, there have been three outbreak phases. The tremendous loss was brought about with every outbreak. Meadow webworm heavily occurred in 1982, a lot of crops were damaged, 1870 thousand mu crops got zero harvest. Therefore, knowledge and control measures are needed to control the pest to the minimum damage.
