Fine Art:Another Language——Recognition of “Fine Art”

本文通过多方面的考察研究,对“美术”这一概念的内涵及其范围,作了新的界定。明确提出美术是另一种语言,并对美术区别于其它艺术门类的主要社会功能,以及美术的主要门类等,作了新的阐述,以期更全面、正确地认识美术以及作为素质教育内容之一的普通学校美术教育的作用。

Through review and study in various aspects, this thesis makes a new definition on the connotation and range of the term “fine art”, and points out that fine art is another kind of language. It also makes a new statement on the main social function of fine art which is different from other species of art, and also its main division, in order to recognize fine art and fine art ed- ucation, as one part of the quality education, in normal schools in a complete and correct manner.
