欧阳修与佛教——兼论欧阳修佛教观特质及其对北宋儒学的影响

欧阳修对佛教的理解是表层的;欧阳修评论佛教的基调是批判的;欧阳修排佛立场是终其一生的;欧阳修佛教观具有“本位主义”和“经验主义”两大特点;在欧阳修所制定的消解佛教的策略中,不仅使佛教获得了养息的机会,而且使儒学得到了伸展的空间,从而为佛、儒关系在宋代的展开创造了条件。

Ou Yang Xiu＇s comprehension of Buddhism was superficial and the base of his comment of Buhhhism was critical. He opposed Buddhism in his whole life and the characteristics of his viewpoint of Buddhism were selfish departmentalism and empiricism. The methods which Ou Yang Xiu has laid down not only give Buddhism the chance to relax and develop but also give confucianism the opportunity to extend.
