The levee piping and seepage detector is designed based on the principle of ‘Pseudorandom Flow- Field Method＇ . It can be used for finding out the entering water position of dams with levee piping or seepage. Furthermore, it will not only offer the basis of fast decision making to resist the flood from being danger, but also provide the basic data for reinforcing the darn after the flood. In the paper, the principle and the effect of detecting the hidden defects of dam in a reservoir, have been introduced.
