Emendation of Inscriptions on the Arranged Chimes by Zeng Houyi and Preliminary Research

曾侯乙编磬上的铭文给我们展示了中国先秦时期的乐律学成就,但器上太多的残缺仍给理解带来许多困难。由此,有必要对其进行全面的校释和研究,使理解更为顺畅、深刻,为进一步的研究打下基础。本文对曾侯乙编磬铭文进行了全面的校释,并对其进行了初步的研究。

The inscriptions on the arranged chimes by Zeng Houyi show us the achievements in music and temperament before Qin Dynasty. Nevertheless, too many defects in instruments caused problems in understanding. Therefore, the complete emendation and connotation as well as study of those inscriptions can enable us to understand them better, and can lay a solid foundation for further research work.
