Shandong, also known as Qilu, has time-honored culture. ＂One mountain （Mount Tai）, One Water （Spring water in Jinan） and One Sage （Confucius in Qufu）＂ are only representatives of Shandong＇s culture. As the land of the ancient powerful States of Qi and Lu, Shandong ranks in the forefront of the whole country in terms of variety and volume of culture. Famous culture spots are distributed everywhere throughout Shandong, the canal culture belt along the Grand Canal, the Qi Culture Circle in the middle region, the Mountain and Sea Culture Region in the eastern region, and the Spring Culture Circle in Jinan, to name but a few. The culture land of Shandong has given birth to countless great masters in history, such as Confucius, Mencius, Sun Zi, Guan Zhong, Lu Ban, and Wang Xizhi.
