Advantages and necessity of the video-based traffic surveillance and control system application are explained in this paper. After introducing the principle system structure, function, flow of detection information and key technique of video detection system, reliability of system is also discussed in this paper. With the wide use of video-based traffic surveillance and control system, it will add so much to the security and efficiency of traffic in tunnel.
