My observation on the ancient Chinese psychological thoughts and cultural ideas in music

我国对音乐心理学思想的研究可以追溯到春秋战国时期。从音乐生理、心理的功能至音乐审美心理特征,从听觉心理的特点至音乐创作和表演心理的规律均成为古代学者关注的问题,收集和整理蕴藏于古代音乐论著中的音乐心理学思想是形成具有我国本土化特征的音乐心理学理论体系的重要组成部分。本文从宏观角度探究了我国古代音乐心理学思想的不同发展阶段及其特征,以期呈现其整体轮廓。

Historical evidence shows that investigations of music psychology in China can be traced back to the periods of Spring- Autumn and Warring States. Issues in physiology, mental function, esthetical characters concerning music, as well as psychological laws of listening, composing and performing, were frequently touched by ancient scholars and reflected in their writings. These studies and related literatures should be regarded as an important part of research in the theoretical system for the work of music psychology in this country. The author explores the stages and features for this area of study and tries to present a whole picture while depicting the details of the develolpment.
