皇木采办是明代社会的重要内容。皇木采办的方式有三:官办采木、商办采木和土司进献。前两种是主要途径,实质上,它们都属于封建徭役。土司进献的大木数量很少。这三种采木形式都有一定的弊病,这使皇木采办对当时的生态环境和社会都产生了很大的消极影响。

Gathering timbers for the imperial palace was an important social task in the Ming Dynasty. There were three ways of collection： official gathering, commercial gathering and offer by Tusi, of which the first two were the major means, in fact, they belonged to feudal corvec. Big timbers offered by Tusi were few. There were certain drawbacks in the three ways of gathering, which had many negative effects on the ecological environment and the society of the time.
