A 500-kV DC transmission project of Three Gorges Hydropower Station was successfully commissioned on October 5 this year. In the course of ten-hour debugging test, the station sent electricity of 2000 MW from Caijiachong Converter Substation in Yidu, Hubei to Huaxin Converter Substation in Shanghai. It marked that the extra-high voltage transmission project was up to the world standards.
