The rapid growth of power demand driven by national economic booming has placed challenges before power grids to build transmission lines on higher voltage level over current 500 kV. The construction of 750-kV demonstrative transmission project and promotion of present transmission capability are imperative necessities to lay foundations for research and development of 750-kV or even 1000-kV complete equipment.
