Effective Improvements in Business English Translation

商务英语翻译教材中有不少的译例出现了误译,有的错误相当严重。主要原因在于译者缺乏商务专业知识和商务英语文体翻译的技巧。译者翻译商务英语时必须具备商务英语的意识,运用商务知识,否则译文很难符合行业的规范;同时译者要仔细审读商务英语语境,正确理解原语的语用信息;而商务文体中一些常用的表达方式也是译者应当引起高度注意的。

Many mistranslations appear in the textbooks of business English translation, which draws our attentions. The complexities of business English styles require the different ways of translation from GE styles. As a qualified translator he/she should be a good master of English language and business knowledge as well; while translating, business contexts should be considered and choose the pragmatic meaning of the words and terms, and at the same time, certain special expressions should be also taken into account, thus correct versions can be presented to the readers.
