《考工记》是中国目前所见年代最早的手工业技术文献,其丰富的造物思想,对当今艺术设计也具有启示作用。其中《考工记.玉人之事》篇中记载:“天子圭中必,四圭尺有二寸,以祀天。”描述了用于祀天的圭璧结合的玉器造型。从解读文意入手,探讨了这一设计形式背后所体现出的设计文化内涵。

Kaogongji is the earliest handicraft technology documents, and its rich thoughts in creation are useful for current art design. Kaogongji＇s Jademen records： ＂The Gui of emperors has a silk thread,four Gui of one chi and two cun used for offering a sacrifice to Heaven. ＂This describes a kind of the jade combined by Gui and Bi. On the basis of comprehending the implication of the context,this thesis does some further research into its cultural connotation.
