Mr Yuan Tongli's Viewpoint on Reader Services

袁同礼作为我国现代图书馆事业的先驱之一,凭着对图书馆内涵发展的深刻理解,他适时地提出当时中国图书馆尤其是国立北平图书馆(以下简称北图)发展应注意解决的问题:即图书馆如何发挥社会效能,充当平民教育的工具。本文浅述了袁同礼在北图注重做好读者服务工作,使北图“由藏书之所变为用书之所”———发挥出图书馆社会效能的读者服务观。

Mr Yuan Tongli as a pioneer of the modem library business of our country put forward some problems that the Chinese libraries should notice to resolve, particularly in Beiping National Library at that time by his deep comprehension of the library content development , such as how library develops the social effect and acts as the tool of the popular education. This paper introduces that Mr Yuan Tongli paid attention to the reader services in order to Beiping National Library developed the social effect of viewpoint on reader services in Beiping National Library.
