人工瓣膜心内膜炎(prosthetic valve endocarditis,PVE)是心脏瓣膜置换术后一种严重的并发症。近半个世纪以来,PVE的微生物学、病理生理学、临床表现以及诊疗手段等诸方面都发生了显著的变化,人们对其发病机制也有了更进一步的认识。我们拟就PVE的诊断治疗等各个方面作一整体性的综述。

Prosthetic valve endocarditis （PVE） is a catastrophic complication of cardiac valve replacement, associated with high mortality rates. In the past nearly five decades, the microbiology, pathophysiology, clinical features, and therapeutic options in PVE have changed a lot, and there are new insight into the pathogenesis of PVE. The current comprehensive review will address various issues involved in the diagnosis and management of this complication.
