Heavy and Light-duty Vehicles: China III Effective in 2007

According to GB 17691—2005 and GB 18352.3—2005, the China III Standard for heavy- duty vehicles and light-duty vehicles will be brought into effect in 2007. Therefore, authorities will enforce a series of related measures and actions such as licensing and approval of new models, environmental friendly production supervision, inspection of existing vehicles and the strict supervision of fuel, etc. to guarantee the smooth implementation of the Standard.
