With the advantages of occupying smaller space and carrying more passengers, the Double Deckers have been widely used in many countries. However, their instability and internal stairs leading to the upper deck may affect their safety. On Oct. 8, 2005, the GB/T 19950-2005 “Requirement for Double Decker Safety” was issued, which has had an important role in regular- izing the design and manufacture of the Double Deckers, as well as their safe operation on the road.
