Rethinking of the Issue of Property Rights on the Moon and Celestial Bodies

Recently, space lawyers and scholars have more discussions on the issue of extraterritorial property right on the Moon and other celestial bodies since the U S government adopted a new space policy encouraging private enterprises to carry out space activities. Based on its analysis of the different views and proposals, the paper suggests that this issue be further studied to ensure both the interests of private investors and the needs of developing countries are equally considered. It is also suggested that the Chinese government and scholars pay attention to the issue and conduct further research to provide their own proposition.
