A great number of various multimedia coursewares are springing up and they have to be classified appropriately so as to improve their quality and efficiency in application. Multimedia coursewares can be classified according to the aim and objectives of the teaching work in which they are applied, to the development softwares they use, to the different study theories they are based on and to different teaching environments. Such classification is of theoretical and practical significance in providing guidance to topic selection and eourseware development, application and appraisal.
