当前,宽带数据业务发展迅猛,IPTV业务风起云涌,卫星直播业务开启在即,交互式业务的用户需求愈加迫切,有线电视行业面临着前所未有的压力和挑战,为此,国家广电总局要求各地加快网络改造步伐,以推动有线电视网向双向、交互、多功能方向发展。然而,近年来,有线电视网络宽带接入技术发展很快,种类繁多的宽带接入技术各具优势,难予取舍。有线电视网络双向化改造到底该选什么技术,如何进行实施,有线网络运营机构的决策领导和工程技术人员大多心存困惑,倍感茫然。为此,国家广电总局广播电视规划院有线电视所、信息研究所和《广播与电视技术》杂志于2006年12月22日联合主办了“有线电视网络宽带接入技术”专家研讨会。
