Some determination methods applied to the analysis of new foundry binder,such as infrared spectrography,chromatography and measuring methods of acidity value,hydroxy value and saponificationnumber are discussed. The authors have found from some methods a volumetry easy and simple to handle with sharp end-point as the enterprise analytical standard for the determination of acidity value. The indicator of the method is alkali-blue 6B dry powder.
