The mistakes about the time and location of the speech, On Women-the Speech Draft at Suzhou Women School by Xu Zhimo, appear in recently published related books and collected works which reflect the mistakes in editing and publishing collected books and related collected works of modern authors. Starting with the analysis of the time and location of the speech, this paper traced back to Xu Zhimo＇s voices and expression in the speech, which were hidden behind the time and space. Xu Zhimo was not good at making speech though he was well-known as a witty talker among his friends. Comparatively, the contents of Xu Zhimo＇s speech are relatively simple, cover narrow fields and have ＂Oxford Style＂. The speech draft has too many literary characteristics and has poor spot-effects. But Su Xuelin was deeply impressed by On Women - Speech Draft at Suzhou Women School. The enlightenment conclusion can be arrived at if we explore the reasons.
