摘要
3G/WLAN系统的交互,通过无线局域网(WLAN)接入控制功能增加新业务功能,如先进业务支持、实时对等IP通信等;通过引进WLAN和蜂窝IP连接不同类型动态交换;利用多种接入技术和用户内部先进技术来提供不中断业务和可靠安全接入。3G/WLAN是迈向新一代无线移动网络的关键,在系统性能上具有巨大的技术优势,同时也将发挥出巨大的市场潜力。3G通信系统标准组织(3GPP)把3G/WLAN交互系统作为3GPP的附加标准。在移动环境中,3G/WLAN网络双模终端可提供无处不在、带宽可变、服务质量(QoS)可保证的多种高速率业务。
The interworking of 3G networks and Wireless Local Area Network （WLAN） systems, taking advantage of WLAN control functions, can be enhanced by new functionalities such as advanced services support, real-time peer-to-peer IP communications. It ensures continuity and security of services through the dynamic handover, multi-access technologies, and advanced security technologies. 3G/WLAN integration plays a critical role in next-generation wireless mobile networks as it provides great technological advantages in terms of system performance, thus introducing a huge market potential. The Third Generation Partnership Project （3GPP） has extended 3GPP standards to include 3G/WLAN interworking. In a mobile environment, 3G/WLAN dual-mode terminals can provide a wide range of services at high rate with variable bandwidth and Quality of Service （QoS） assurance.
