The United Front: an Important Medium for National Cohesion of Chinese Nationality

统一战线的主题是大团结、大联合,其根本任务是争取人心、凝聚力量,归根到底是要增强中华民族凝聚力。要从正确处理政党关系、民族关系、宗教关系、阶层关系、海内外同胞关系等五个方面的关系入手,充分发挥统一战线对增强中华民族凝聚力的重要作用;要充分发挥统一战线的特色与优势,实施统一战线凝聚力工程,凸显“三个导向”,突出“三个重点”。

The theme for the United Front is great unity, and its major task is to enhance the national cohesion of the Chinese nationality. We need to start from proper handling of political parties＇ relations, racial relations, religious relations, relations between social strata and relations between overseas Chinese and domestic Chinese, so as to give full play to the important role of the United Front in enhancing the national cohesion. In implementation of the ＂United Front Cohesion＂ project, we must emphasize ＂Three Guiding Principles＂ and ＂Three Key Points＂.
