Significance of PSA/AR expression in extramammary Paget’s disease

摘要 目的:了解前列腺特异性抗原(prostate specific antigen,PSA)和雄激素受体(androgen receptor,AR)在乳房外Paget病(EMPD)中的表达及其意义。方法:采用免疫组化ABC法检测PSA和AR在30例EMPD患者皮损中的表达情况。结果:①在30例EMPD患者皮损中13例PSA表达阳性,14例AR表达阳性,且在男性患者中PSA和AR的表达均明显高于女性患者(P<0.01);②在男性EMPD患者中,PSA和AR阳性表达间有明显相关性。结论:PSA和AR在男性EMPD患者中过度表达,PSA和(或)AR信号传导通路可能在男性EMPD形成机制中起重要作用。 Objective: To investigate the expression and significance of prostate specific antigen (PSA) and androgen receptor(AR) in extramammary Paget's disease (EMPD). Methods: Thirty tissue specimens of EMPD cases were analyzed by immunohistochemical staining in formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded tissue sections for PSA and AR. Results: The positive expression of PSA and AR among the 30 specimens of EMPD was 13 and 14 respectively. Moreover, the expression of PSA and AR in specimens from the male cases was higher than that from the female cases (P〈0.01). There was significant correlation between PSA and AR expression in EMPD. Conclusions: This study provides evidence that the overexpression of PSA and AR is existed in EMPD of the male cases, indicating that PSA /AR signaling pathway may play a pivotal role in the oncogenesis of EMPD of the male.
