A Survey of Greek Mythological Studies Abroad at the Turn of the 21st Century

新世纪伊始，国外希腊神话研究显示出勃勃生机，各种研究方法异彩纷呈。涉及到主题学、宗教学、考古学、谱系学等，尤其是谱系学方法的介入和哲学方向的回归。给希腊神话的研究带来了可喜的亮点。更多的研究者将希腊神话视为一种叙述和思维方式，而不是一种单纯的文学文本，将它与希腊历史、文化、宗教、仪式紧密相连，考察它对各个时期社会政治及宗教意识形态的影响，从而全面理解希腊神话的内涵与价值。

At the very beginning of the new century, the Greek mythological studies abroad are really active, and students and scholars employ a variety of methods, namely thematology, religious studies, archeology, genealogy, especially the adoption of genealogy and the philosophical return which has opened up a new field for the Greek mythological studies. More researchers regard the Greek mythology as a way of narrative and thinking, rather than a pure literary text, and relate it closely to Greek history, culture, religion and ritual, explore its influence upon the social politics and religious ideology throughout the times, and thus obtain a comprehensive understanding of the meaning and value of the Greek mythology.
