Based on the bus technology of Profibus - DP, one kind of the reservoir gate monitoring and control system is developed. The system is consisted of the PLC of S7 - 300 series as the core. In this system the position of the gate＇s displacement is measured by a rotating coder which provides a Profibus - DP interface, and the rehability is enhanced. The communication program is listed.
