This paper discusses the agile manufacturing which is the strategic choice of manufacturing business in 21 century, analyzes the basis theory of agile manufacturing and the key aspect to put agile manufacturing into practice, expounds that PDM is the key of putting agile manufacturing into effect, analyzes the present conditions of PDM, the function requirement of PDM in agile manufacturing, and the key technology of it to resolve, these include the system integration on account of the CORBA standard, the technology of data base and internet.
