Jiang Zemin's thought of scientific development went through four stages in its evo- lution,including considerations on economic development and all-round development,accelerated development and coordinated development,and sustained development and development based on people-centered approach,and made theoretical preparations for the birth of scientific concept of de- velopment,which further expounds the connotations of all-round development,coordinated develop- ment,sustained development and development based on people-centered approach.Hu Jintao's sci- entific concept of development and harmonious society theory represent a new leap in the under- standing of the law governing construction of socialism with Chinese characteristics on the basis of Jiang Zemin's thought of scientific development.
