由于受“人伦鉴视”之学的影响,魏晋文人形成了对女性美的病态追求,表现为“好服妇人之服”,“动静粉白不离手”等追求女性美的病态行为。魏晋文人的这种风尚不仅在当时颇为流行,还对后世产生了深远的影响。具体表现为官吏选拔时的重貌轻才和小说中男子容貌和言行举止明显呈现出女性化的倾向。

Affected by the practice of ＂judging by appearance＂, the intllectuals of the Wei and Jin Dynasties pursued feminine charm mobidly, which was shown in the morbid behaviors of＂ liking to wear clothes for women＂ and ＂being always within reach of powder＂ in pursuing feminine charm. The practice was not only popular at that time but also had a far-reaching influence on later generations, which was shown in valuing appearance only in selecting government officials and the appearance of men and their manner of speech and behavior tended to be femalized in novels.
