摘要
串行处理和并行处理之争由来已久。在阐释力上,两种模式各有优缺点。串行处理模式以模块论为理论基础,而并行处理模式以连通主义为理论基石。准模块理论认为串行处理主要体现在高层系统(模块系统)上的操作,而并行式处理则体现在底层系统(处于信息封闭系统中的神经网络)上的操作。笔者认为在语言模块内部亦存在串行处理模式,并指出准模块理论前提的不可靠性。
The disputation between serial processing and parallel processing has been perennial. Each model has its unique strength as well as weakness in its interpretability, Serial processing has modularity as its cornerstone, while parallel processing has connectianism as its theoretical foundation. Quasi-modularity of language processing advocates the existence of quasi-modules in which serial processing (modular system) runs the prime operation while parallel processing (neural network informationally encapsulated) correspondingly plays a primitive role.The author believes that in the language module there are both serial and parallel models in operation,points out that the theoretical premise of quasi-modularity of language processing is dubious.
