This text elaborated to explore the basic principle that the land mine reaches （the ground penetrating radar, the brief name GPR） the method and measure broadly. Based on the strengthening of the historical building of Shanghai Huifeng Bank, the paper introduces the method and effect of ground penetrating radar in non- destructive testing concrete buildings, and its successful application in the durability diagnosis of historical buildings.
