A new duobinary coding system with AM/PSK modulation technique is developed by means of combining correlative level coding with carrier modulation. With quite a deal of advantages, the system can transmit data at a speed higher than other prevailing modulations if compared with the same performance valuation norm. Circuits which implement digitally AM/PSK modulation are very simple and easy to debug and maintain.
