Education System of Foreign Language in China:Problem and Reformation

中国现行外语教育制度给当今社会带来了一系列严重问题。该制度产生于20多年前的特定历史时期,有其历史合理性,但已经严重不符合中国的现实情况,从社会学、法学、社会语言学、教育投资学以及国际比较等角度分析,都存在明显的不合理性。中国外语教育制度应遵循自愿化、专业化、基础化、区域化、激励化的系统改革构想。

There are a series of critical problems in the education system of foreign language in China. The system was enacted in the special time twenty years ago, and it was rational in that time. But the system is not rational in this time, especially from the angles of sociology, law, social linguistics , educational investment and internation. This paper puts forward a systematic reform concept of studying foreign language voluntarily, specially, basically, regionally and encouragingly.
