The Cherry Orchard written by Chekhov is a comedy, but not a comedy of traditional sense. There are no common comic writing styles such as complicated comic conflicts, cranky cheracters, coincidence and misunderstsndings. There is no good or perfeet ending, either. The author gives it the unusual comic sense by weakening the plot, dealing with the contradictions and designing the ending.
