摘要
委婉语既是一种语言现象,也是一种社会现象和文化现象。本文试从文化角度出发,根据社会价值差异,宗教信仰以及伦理文化的差异等方面对比分析了汉英委婉语的表达形式,揭示了这一语言现象所蕴含的深厚文化内涵。
Euphemism is a phenomenon of language, society and culture. By a contrastive analysis, this thesis aims at exploiting the differences of euphemism in both Chinese and English from three aspects,namely value criterion,religious belief,social system and ethics euhure,through which the social and cultural connotation of euphemism is revealed.
