A View-Dependent Method for Generation of Large Scale Terrain

摘要 采用视点相关的LOD技术提出一种简洁有效的方法,实现大规模地形场景的实时显示;把视野区域分为两种:基于地面车辆的视野区域和基于飞行器的视野区域,并提出相应的算法,达到地形实时显示速度与地形大小无关.算法中还提供了对视野区内背对观察者的场景进行剔除的方法和一种有效的网格评价算法.计算表明,该算法可以有效减少网格,提高场景显示速率. An efficient and easy method based on the view-dependent level of detail(LOD) is presented for real-time display of the large scale terrain scene, The view field is divided into vehicle-dependent view field and aircraft-dependent view field, and the corresponding algorithm is proposed. A calling algorithm for the scene sheltered from the high field and an efficient evaluation algorithm for node are also put forward. The results show that this algorithm can greatly reduce grids and increase the display velocity.
