Advances in the research on the mechanism of freezing tolerance of plant, mainly on the relationship between the expression of freezing tolerance genes and its regulation with the freezing tolerance characteristic of plant, have been reviewed. Meanwhile some problems that are worth exploiting further in the research about the mechanism of freezing tolerance of plant have also been put forward.
