This paper sums systematically up the principles and the research progress of SHPB technology, and points out several kinds of the problems on the current SHPB technology that should be noticed such as the problem of big diameter pressure bar＇s dispersion effect, the problem of Uneven stress, the problem of end face＇s friction effect, the problem of the test and measurement of high temperature and high strain rate, and the problem of data processing, etc.
