In order to assure structural safety of the berth transition carriage, finite element method and classical theory were adopted to analyze the stress distribution and the position of the maximum deformation of it in the work process with. different contact condition between the wheel and carriage. In light of the numerical results, the structural strength was checked for the berth transition carriage as well as the wheels.
