摘要
针对基于LOD技术的三维虚拟场景的快速绘制需求,提出一种带属性的边折叠的三角形网格简化方法.该方法利用二次误差控制简化,通过边折叠操作完成简化过程.用二次误差衡量三角形网格表面的几何精确性和表面属性的逼真度,使简化后的模型尽可能保持原有属性特征,得到了较高质量的简化网格.将该网格简化方法应用于采油厂厂区漫游和安全训练仿真系统,达到了实时绘制的目的.
An triangle mesh simplification algorithm with edge collapse based on attributes has been proposed for quickly rendering virtual scene to use LOD technology.This algorithm controls the process of simplification by quadric error and the edge collapse operation is used to simplify meshes.The quadric error measures both the geometric accuracy of the simplified mesh surface and the fidelity of appearance fields defined on the surface.This algorithm rapidly produces high quality approximations to original mesh model and the mesh simplified model preserved attributes of original mesh model as possible.Lastly,this algorithm is applied to virtual simulation systems for rendering in real-time.
