A series of profound and far-reaching events have taken place in the international structure of 2006. They are shown in the following ways: wrong policies pursued by the Bush Administration have resulted in the decline of U.S. international influences; the EU integration process has come to a standstill; Russia made intensive readjustments to its foreign policy and has brought about strong reactions from within and without, and economic gap between the developed and developing countries has begun to narrow down.
