现代车身设计过程中,尽管计算机辅助设计技术的应用已非常普及,但油泥模型因其真实性仍被广泛采用。文章介绍了油泥模型的发展历史、特点和其制作过程。通过对传统车身设计流程和现代车身设计流程的比较,分析了油泥模型在车身设计中的重要性,及随着计算机辅助设计手段在车身设计中的应用,油泥模型的现状和发展趋势。

In spite of the popular application of CAD technology in the body design process nowadays, the clay model is still wildly used for its reality. The article introduces the evolutionary history, characteristics and making process of clay model. By comparing traditional body design process with the modem one, the article analyzes the importance of clay model in automotive body design, as well as the current situation and trend of clay model with the application of CAD technology.
