The article outlines the characters, application spheres and construction essentials of tunnel construction by NATM, analyzes the influences of foundation pit excavation and supporting on surroundings by 2D elastic-plastic finite dement, and summarizes the applying essentials of NATM, which has a certain guiding significance for the excavation and supporting of foundation pit.
