Review and Prospect of the Research on Urban Spatial Organization

城市空间组织是城市中各种人类活动和功能组织在地域空间上的投影,是城市发展程度、阶段与过程的空间反映,因而成为城市科学各分支学科研究的重要内容之一。着重回顾了城市地理学和城市规划学对城市空间组织的研究历程及其理论成果,并根据当前社会经济和城市发展的新特点,对未来的研究方向和研究重点进行展望。

Urban spatial organization is the spatial image of all kinds of human activities and function organization in cities and spatial reflection of urban development stage and process, which has been the important research content of each branch of urban science. This paper mainly reviews and summarizes the research on urban spatial organization from urban geography and urban planning. Furthermore, according to new characteristics of present social and economic development and urban development, the author points out the development directions and emphasis in the research.
