Changshu Literature in the Period of the Song and Yuan Dynasties

宋代常熟文人著述颇富,尤以诗歌、政论文写作及学术研究见长。赵公豫诗以名胜题咏和咏史怀古为主,庄绰的笔记不乏史料价值。元代常熟文人瞿孝祯、时太初等诗文俱佳,与文学大家杨维桢、张伯雨、顾阿瑛有交游。大画家黄公望善作题画、咏画诗,诗僧清珙多写隐居生活和山水景致。

Changshu witnessed the creation of abundant writings in Song Dynasty, which in particular are renowned for poem, political comment and academic studies. priority to the inscriptions for historic sites and the Among Changshu literates of this period, Zhao Gongyu gave poems on history and recalling antiquity, and Zhuangchuo＇ s notes are of great historical value. Qu Xiaozhen and Shi Taichu, two Changshu literates of Yuan Dynasty, who are good at both poem and prose, had communication with the literature masters like Yang Weizhen, Zhang Boyu and Gu aying. The great painter Huang Gongwang was good at syncretizing poems and paintings, while the poem monk Qing Gong mainly wrote about reclusion and landscape.
