四言诗衰落的原因

先秦至东晋,四言诗在持续了约一千五百年后最终归于沉寂,诗与乐的逐渐分离应该是导致其盛衰升降的根本原因之一。四言诗产生之初原本与雅乐共存。春秋以来,雅乐逐渐为俗乐所代替,而俗乐在格调节奏上跟四言诗很难相和。一旦失去了音乐,四言在节奏、韵律上的单调就显露出来;况且它还处在一个语言发生了新变的时代;一个感情开始在文学中放任的时代。这些因素都扩大了四言诗与现实需要之间的差距,从而最终导致四言诗淡出文坛。

Once losing music the four-words-poem became monotonous in the rhythm, Besides, it is in an ages of the lartguage changing a lot, and an ages of people began to indulge their sentiment in the literature. qhese factors extended the gap between the four-words-poem and realistic demand, thus cause the four-words-poem fade out in the literary style.
