The process to compile ＂Earthquake Record of Zaozhuang City＂, reserving truth, seeking extensively and adopting plentifully, is introduced. The influence of historical earthquake on Zaozhuang is listed, meanwhile the seismic geological condition and development of earthquake cause of Zaozhuang are narrated all around. It is considered that the historical earthquake record compil- ing and modifying at city level should give prominence to local feature and characteristic of the times in the aspects of content cata- loging, character and paragraph setting, data collecting, historical earthquake data perfecting and mine earthquake studying.
