分析了交通事故中侧面碰撞对车内人员伤害的严重性,针对侧面碰撞标准的要求,对如何满足侧面碰撞情况下的安全性能提出了一些建设性的建议,指出合理地设计乘员舱可以最大限度预防侧面碰撞事故中对乘员的伤害和起有效的保护作用,并就乘员舱设计中车身结构、车门、内饰、座椅等具体结构问题作了一些探讨．

The severity of injury to passengers during the side impact for car accident investigated. According to the requirements of the side impact regulation, some constructive suggestions for enhancing the safety performance in side impact are presented. It is pointed out that proper designs for passenger compartment can effectively protect the passenger＇s safety and substancially reduce the injury extent of passengers in the side impact accident. Some problems on the structure of passenger compartment, such as bodywork, door, interior trim and seat, are discussed in detail.
