长期以来,对张謇职业教育及其思想的研究已经积累了一定成果,有专著,也有相当数量的论文,对职业教育方针、政策、宗旨、内容和特点等等也都有论述,但仅处于初始阶段,研究的空间还相当大。张謇职业教育思想形成的条件、发展的阶段、在我国近代职业教育史上的定位等问题,都有待深入研究。

A great deal has been achieved in the field of research on ZHANG Jian＇ s thoughts on vocational education,including monographs and theses, which cover principles, policies, purpose, content, characteristics, etc. of vocational education. But the research is only in its initial stage;many problems for further study remain as to the conditions for the formation of ZHANG＇s vocational education ideas,its development stages,its position in the history of vocational education in modem China.
